Street Change is back for 2012 as part of Summer Concert Series at QV.

The Rotary Club of Melbourne Park is delighted to present ‘Street Change’- The Search for Melbourne’s Best Busker.
Street Change is an initiative of the Rotary Club of Melbourne Park- one of Australia’s youngest member Rotary Clubs. We are a dynamic and determined group of young professionals passionate about Melbourne and making a difference in our local community and beyond- driven by the achievements and dependability of Rotary International.
Street Change is a concert style fundraising event and will be conducted on Thursday, 23rd Febuary 2012 at 5:30pm at QV Square.
Street Change is co-presented with QV, and will run as part of Summer Concert Series at QV. Set in the urban surrounds of QV Square, Street Change will feature a line-up of ten of our city’s most accomplished street performers.
At the event the audience will be invited to vote with their spare change for their favourite performance with the funds raised being directly donated to HomeGround Services- An organisation that is making a significant difference to Melbourne's homeless people. The winner of the event will be awarded the official title of ‘Melbourne’s Best Busker’.
What we hope to achieve
- Heightened public awareness of the plight of Melbourne’s increasing homeless population
- Raise money for one of Melbourne’s leading charitable organisations that specialises in support of the homeless
- Support and nurture Melbourne’s fabulous busking culture
- Locate and reward Melbourne’s BEST busker!
